Our products meet the highest certifications in safety and protection. Below are explanations of all certifications for our products.
En 342
Protective clothing against the cold. Requirements are placed on insulation capacity and air permeability. Cold environments are characterized by the combination of moisture and wind with temperatures below -5°C.
En 343
Garments certified according to EN 343 protect the wearer against rain and wetness. The standard was updated to a new version in 2019, with the addition of a new class: 4 (previously class 1-3) for both waterproofness and vapor transmission as well as an optional test of the finished garment in a rain tower. The classes for protection against ingress of water (watertightness) are the same as in the previous version, where the addition of class 4 requires higher results. The classes for breathability (resistance to water vapor) have been slightly adjusted with the addition of class 4. Requirements and tests on fabrics and seams for, among other things, water tightness, vapor permeability and tear strength.
- X - Protection against ingress of water - waterproof. Class 1-4 (where 4 indicates the best protection against rain/water).
- Y - Resistance to water vapor - breathability (Ret). Class 1-4 (where class 4 indicates best respiratory function).
- R - Finished garment tested in rain tower, optional.

En ISO 20471
Hi-Vis certified garments are divided into three different classes, based on how well the wearer is visible. The garments have fluorescent surfaces and reflectors that meet the design certification requirements, for example the minimum width of the reflector must be 50 mm. The materials are tested before and after washing, 5 washes are the minimum and if the garment has been tested and approved for a higher number of washes, this must be stated on the laundry advice.
The standard EN 471 was updated in 2013 to EN ISO 20471 and requirements for, among other things, the maximum number of washes were added.
Class 1
Garments fitted with fluorescent material with an area of at least 0.14 m2 and reflectors with an area of at least 0.10 m2, for use where the requirement is the lowest certified level for visibility
class 2
Garments fitted with fluorescent fabric, with an area of at least 0.50 m2 and reflectors with an area of at least 0.13 m2, for use where the visibility requirement is not as high as Class 3.
class 3
The garments are provided with fluorescent material, with an area of at least 0.80 m2 and reflectors with an area of at least 0.20 m2, for use where the highest level of visibility is required.
EN 1150
Visibility-enhancing protective clothing. Clothing with good visibility for non-professional use. Requirements not as strict as EN 471. There are no classes in standard EN 1150.
Updated in 2020 to a new standard -> EN 17353:2020, standard EN 1150 valid until August 2023.
En 17353
Clothing with good visibility for medium risk. This clothing is intended for medium-risk situations. It is not intended for high-risk situations covered by EN ISO 20471. There are 3 different types:
A – For increased visibility during the day using fluorescent material.
B – For increased visibility in dark conditions using reflectors:
- B1 – Free hanging.
- B2 – around arms or legs.
- B3 – around torso or around torso and legs/arms.
AB – for increased visibility in light and dark conditions, using fluorescent materials and reflectors:
- AB2 – around arms and legs.
- AB3 – around torso or around torso and legs/arms.
EN 14404
The standard for knee protection. The standard establishes minimum requirements for dimensions as well as mechanical requirements such as penetration resistance and force distribution.

Protective suits against limited splash. Protective suits against limited splashing of liquid chemicals in liquid form, where there is no directed jet and no risk of liquid accumulating on the suit but where there may be a fine mist of droplets in the air.
