When design becomes function

Shell garments are fantastic! Wind and water are effectively kept away from you!
A nice hood to pull up when the wind gets up and the rain lashes down! Super lightweight materials that breathes. Good versatility and fit for maximum comfort. Your body always aims to keep the microclimate closest to the skin around 35°C. When you work, you get warmer, and the body then needs to release the heat energy. When you are more stationary, the body needs to retain it.
Simple mathematics - advanced technologies.

365

Here is the 3 layer principle, for optimal function:

Layer 1. Innermost layer to transport away the body moisture and keep you dry and comfortable

Layer 2. Keeps the heat and absorbs the moisture from layer one.

Layer 3. Gives you extra warmth and also protection from wind, rain and snow.

Hi-Vis

It is not always easy to see the difference in our Hi-Vis garments, because the colours are the same year after year. But we can promise that you will notice it if you try them. We have stepped up the quality and are now using primarily a 310 g weave, which provides both better wear and tear, and also fits more comfortably. The garment’s more exposed areas are reinforced in Cordura. The fabrics are treated so they are water and dirt repellant. As usual, the garments have the highest visibility in both the fabric and reflectors. Our Hi-Vis garments glow in the dark!

Merino wool

Merino wool

The world’s best wool

L.Brador's underwear is made from organic wool from the Merino sheep thatlive wild in Australia & New Zealand. Wool is a unique material with properties that no other fibre has. Wool is soft and comfortable to wear against the skin. It is a protein-based fibre and therefore more Flameproofmable than petroleum-based fibres. Wool offers extremely good insulation thanks to the millions of small air pockets in the fibres. It is naturally antibacterial; neutralises perspiration odours and breathes. Wool warms equally well when wet. Wool does not melt if it comes into contact with heat. Since it is Superwash treated it can be washed at 40° without any problem. Wool is probably one of the world's best materials.

Softshell

What is softshell, anyway?

Softshell was initially a concept for wind and water resistant material, which was not fully wind and waterproof - as a shell jacket is. Simply put, one can say that softshell lies somewhere between a fleece and a shell jacket.

A softshell garment always has more stretch and breathes better than a shell garment. Softshell under a shell jacket is a really good combination in wet and cold weather, because the softshell usually features good thermal properties.

So if you want to dress really smart, use the 3 layer principle. Woolen underwear + softshell + shell jacket!

Teflon

Teflon

The future will give you an unblemished past.

It's easy to stay out of the dirt. The key word is Teflon. And we're not talking about some frying pans here! No, we're talking about advanced things like molecular-treated fabrics! Rocket Science? No, not really but it is after all a science that ensures that you stay clean and tidy at work in the future! The textile is treated at a molecular level with an extremely durable, invisible and dirt repellant Teflon barrier which does not affect the appearance, sensation or the air in the materials. In contrast to many other hydrocarbon or silicone-based products which are only water resistant, Teflon also provides a sustainable resistance to both oil and water based liquids. Thanks to this, your new working clothes stay cleaner and fresher for longer. Tests show that the protection remains unchanged for at least 25 washes, but will probably last for many more.

UV -protection

UV protection

Built-in sun protection and ventilation in your new sweater. It’s neither Science Fiction nor hocus pocus. But development forges ahead. L.Brador would like you to take advantage of it to make your working life better. Although the sunshine is wonderful, it does have negative aspects. Sunburn increases the risk of skin changes, and the more hours you are in the sun, the greater the risk becomes. If you work outdoors a lot, it may be wise to invest in clothing with UV protection. The heat is the next thing that may be a negative factor at work. This is why we ensure that our T-shirts and piqué shirts in the 365 series feature maximum moisture transport, while the lightweight material is comfortable against the body and also breathes. Suddenly it’s fun in the sun again!
